Research Interests

My research interests are in large-scale data processing, distributed computing, services computing, etc. We have been developing RaSC, a middleware for large-scale composition of a wide variety of analysis programs.

RaSC is used in the following large-scale information analysis systems (question-answering systems for Japanese language):

They run many language processing programs and machine learning programs using RaSC on hundreds of computers. RaSC excels in composition of various programs, in which most of existing frameworks, such as Hadoop and Spark, often suffer from severe inefficiency.

We were awarded Docomo Mobile Science Award (2015) and Maejima Hisoka Award (2016) due to the contribution of WISDOM X and DISAANA.
